50% discount on the Criterion collection
Are you a Criterion DVD and Blu-ray enthusiast like me? Well, it’s that time of the year again when Barnes & Noble releases most of the titles available in the beloved movie lovers’ label at half price! Although I have a great relationship with Criterion through my weekly Blu-ray column, I don’t always get all the titles, so this time I got the classic Preston Sturges comedy. If you’ve never seen Great Escape then you’re missing out on one of the most fascinating and undeniably enjoyable WWII movies ever made, with an impressive cast including Steve McQueen, James Garner, Richard Attenborough, Charles Bronson, Donald Pleasence and James Coburn.
een Wolf The complete series
MTV Teen Wolf was a vastly underrated series outside of the fan base that the supernatural teen comedy/drama show garnered over its six seasons.of course, sometimes the CGI didn’t always hit the mark, and there may have been one or two times too much cheese that didn’t always quite fit the specific style of humor in the series.the series never lost its heart, however, and it featured some of the best characters, performers, heroes and villains you could ask for.Directed by Tyler Posey, Teen Wolf is at once funny, scary, awkward, heartbreaking, romantic, violent, hilarious and intelligent, while remaining completely grounded in the themes of friendship and family.Bonus: Dylan O’Brien’s Stiles Stilinski is one of television’s most memorable characters and watching him grow over six seasons (and go dark during some fan-favourite arc where he probably played. Teen WolfThe best villain of all time) is just the icing on the cake.
